Pre-Purchase inspection

A pre-purchase inspection is a quick assessment of a building that you are thinking of buying.

The investigation is to see if there are any obvious problems with the property before you spend money on estate agents, legals, etc.

A pre-purchase inspection is also useful if you are planning to attend an auction.

What's next?

On some occasions, the pre-purchase inspection report will conclude that there are indeed problems and that the opportunity is not worth pursuing.

In other cases, where there are no obvious problems, the next stage will be to carry out a full structural survey and planning report.
